What is DNS?

What is a sitemap?

A sitemap is like a blueprint for your website. When developing a new site, we create a sitemap in order to depict the layout and flow of your website's navigation.

What is bandwidth?

Bandwidth is the amount of data which can be carried over a network in a given time period. In other words, your bandwidth tells you how fast and how much information can be passed from a website to your computer in a set amount of time.

What is Chart?

Chart documents errors and improvements within the application into a central repository so all team members are notified and issues can be resolved.

What is a Comp?

Used in the planning stages, a comp is a page design of what a section of the website will look like.

What is Life-Boat Data?

Life-boat data is data that is essential to be added to this application that is in a structured format.

What is Primary Navigation?

Primary navigation is available uniformly throughout the website to facilitate user-friendly movement within the main sections of the website, and located on the top of the site.

What is Secondary Navigation?

Secondary navigation is consistently located in the Sidebar Section. Sidebar sections will display navigation unique to each website section.

What is Footer Navigation?

Footer navigation will mirror the Primary Navigation, allowing the user to relocate without having to scroll to the top of the web page.

What is Scope?

The Functional Specification Document outlines the scope of the project or all the intended elements within this project. Items out of scope will be documented with a Change Order.

What is a Worksite?

A worksite is when the application/website is on a development server. It can be viewed through an internet browser but is not considered "Live".

What do the terms in your process such as Alpha and Beta mean?

The Alpha milestone means the framework of the application/website is available on a worksite for viewing. Some functionality may still be under development.

The Beta milestone is the step in the process when far more development has been completed. A clickable framework is available on the worksite, and the application is very close to completion. The application/website continues to be tested.
