Business Growth Manager

The Business Growth Manager is responsible for driving new business sales by identifying, qualifying and converting high-value prospects into long-term clients. This role focuses on generating and nurturing leads, managing outbound and inbound sales opportunities and partnering with the Business Growth Director to algin sales efforts with agency goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new client opportunities through proactive outreach, networking, referrals and inbound leads
  • Conduct discovery calls, pitch meetings and proposal presentations to convert leads into new agency clients
  • Maintain an active pipeline of qualified prospects and consistently meet or exceed business targets
  • Collaborate with Business Growth Director on sales strategy, lead scoring and opportunity prioritization
  • Support RFP responses, pricing discussions and scope alignment for prospects
  • Own the full sales cycle: from prospecting and qualification to proposal development and closing
  • Maintain accurate records in the CRM (HubSpot) and track all prospect interactions, opportunities, and forecasting
  • Collaborate with the Digital Strategist, Web and Creative team, and Subject Matter Experts to develop customized proposals and strategic solutions
  • Ensure seamless handoff of new clients to the onboarding and project management teams
  • Step in to support the Business Growth Director with selling special projects or add-ons for existing clients when appropriate
  • Assist in identifying new project opportunities within current accounts that align with agency capabilities and growth goals
  • Represent Informatics at community events, professional associations, networking groups, and industry conferences to build brand visibility, foster relationships, and identify potential business opportunities
  • Proactively cultivate and maintain relationships with business leaders, referral partners, and community influencers to support long-term business growth and positioning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in sales, business development or client-facing roles.
  • Experience working in a digital agency or marketing agency preferred.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understand their needs, and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Proactive and results-driven mindset, with the ability to identify upselling opportunities and close deals to drive revenue growth.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing principles, tools, and platforms including SEO, social media, email marketing, and web analytics.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively present complex information and sell to clients.
  • Comfortable leading conversations with business owners, marketing leaders and executive decision-makers.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and present recommendations to clients.
  • Demonstrated organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
  • Proficient in using CRM tools (HubSpot), project management software, and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable to changing client needs and industry trends.
