Working closely with the Design Team and the Digital Marketing Team, this position’s primary responsibilities include designing graphics, marketing materials, infographics, logos, and various additional design elements as needed. This position juggles multiple projects and is expected to meet deadlines and deliver high quality, professional work with minimal supervision.
Top Key Responsibilities:
- Create and design various materials primarily for digital marketing and web
- Create high quality work, consistent with client brand and marketing campaigns and on schedule
- Consistently learn, master, and use a wide range of media and use graphic design software
- Clearly understand client goals and brand guidelines and create work that fits our clients’ needs
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications
Required Skills & Abilities:
- A strong visual sense and creative approach to creating work
- Explorer of new ideas and possibilities
- Strong knowledge of composition, typography, and color
- Excellent verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and other visual design, wire-framing tools
- Excellent customer service
- Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and the web
- Ability to see the “big picture” and think strategically through each project, discuss design and projects conceptually, understand client needs and consider practical solutions
- Detail-oriented and meticulous
- Flexible to meet changing needs and deadlines, desire to do what it takes to meet project deadlines
- Enjoys working on multiple simultaneous projects
- Strong organizational, project management, problem solving and time-management skills.
- Intuitive and mindful person that finds joy in continuous learning, enjoys new techniques, trends, and technology
- Organized self-starter, impeccable work ethic; able to flow with change
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in graphic arts, design, communications, or related field, or equivalent experience required
- 3-5 years of experience in graphic design required
- Compelling portfolio of work over a wide range of creative projects required
- Experience using Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator, Sketch, InDesign, After Effects and other graphic design software required
- Familiarity with HTML and CSS preferred
- Experience working with Content Management Systems (Wordpress, Concrete5, etc.) preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times
